The audit will take place during the 2009 Ohio Solar Tour, sponsored by the non-profit organization Green Energy Ohio. The statewide Open House features local homes and businesses that use renewable and energy efficient methods to save energy. This year's tour includes 169 Open House sites in 91 communities. This FREE event provides a unique opportunity for people to visit a variety of homes and businesses and talk with owners about living and working with clean energy technologies.

Gary Canter, a certified Building Performance Institute Auditor, will be answering questions and will demonstrate how a Home Energy Physical is conducted. He will have a blower door and infrared camera in action on-site. Plus, he'll share teh 5 keys to an energy-efficient home.
The Deneen Residence has a 5.2kW solar array that has been in operation for two years, as well as other energy efficient technologies. Interested in constant improvement, the Deneen's continue to look for ways to minimize the amount of energy they use.
